Decided to put up this Article not because anything is between Tiwa and Yemi. They seem to be the best two female artists in the Nigerian music right now. And seems to be the only female acts that projects Nigeria and Africa in their sense of art.
Now confusions might occur when one thinks of who does the African thing better when Yemi Alade and Tiwa savage is pictured.
Yemi Alade A.K.A Yemi Eberechi is signed to Effizy music group, she gained prominence in Nigerian music industry after winning the Peak Talent show in 2009. Since then Yemi has been flying and so far she bangs loads and loads of collaboration with artits within the African region, she’d rocked collaborations in most of the African countries such like South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, congo etc… Yemi was born on 13th March 1989 (27 years). Her last debut Album was dubbed “Mama Africa“. She’d about 3-4 videos from Mama Africa Album, looking at her album title alone would say something about Yemi’s love and interest for African Vibes. Taking a snap on Tiwa’s profile in the past few years she also have been on top of her games, not withstanding she a Mother and a family woman, she still puts up amazing materials. Tiwa Savage is Known by her full name Tiwatope Savage Balogun. She was born on 5th February 1980 (36 years) and is signed to Mavin Records, and she has also flexed all round Africa, she was endorsed by Jay Z’s owned label Roc Nation sometimes in the middle of 2016, her last “RED” Album was also released this year and it possed features from wizkid, Olamide, don jazzy etc.., her latest music video “rewind” which came out few days ago is a bang. After this quick and short review on the profiles of these two top Nigerian Female Musicians. One might really doubt in a deep argument who does it better?
Tiwa and Yemi have really pushed off all other singers from the 2016 music/entertainment chart. Other female artist who are dope and famous too have not really been trending for a while.
Chidinma, Seyi shay, omawunmi, waje, Niyola, cynthia morgan, Asa, Di’ja etc..
Are still pushing so hot and keeping it real for their fans and trust me the likes of cynthia Morgan is on top of the rap/reggea/dancehall charts.
But Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage have appeared to be the two female icons whom have done it the African/Afro pop way the most so far this year, and seems to be side by side competitors.
What would you say if you heard a new hot tune from both artist’s? Surely it will scatter the dance floor all through Africa for the rest of the year!
Would give it up for Yemi or Tiwa?
